Tommy Thompson Trail

About

Tommy Thompson Trail is a 3.3-mile paved, non-motorized rail-to-trail in Anacortes, connecting downtown along Fidalgo Bay to March Point. Following an abandoned railroad corridor, the flat, scenic trail is ideal for walking, running, and biking. Visitors can enjoy views of Fidalgo Bay, Mount Baker, the Cascade Mountains, and the working shoreline, with wildlife sightings including blue herons, seals, and sea lions. A highlight is the wooden trestle and causeway crossing Fidalgo Bay, offering a rare water-level perspective.
