As the sun begins to shine, school comes to end and the days grow longer, we’ve finally reached the dawn of summer— and Skagit county is the place to be during this beautiful season. From festivals that bring the community together to roaring rodeos to concerts that fill the city with music, here is your ultimate guide to June and July in Skagit.
Festivals

Anacortes Waterfront Festival
This week Anacortes will be hosting its 34th Annual Anacortes Waterfront Festival on June 7 and 8. The festival celebrates the beauty and beloved traditions of Anacortes, featuring an array of commercial and arts vendors, food trucks and live music performances. It’s a free event and perfect for the whole family, with activities including a car show, carnival slide, toy boat building and many more.
Blast from the Past
Do you have a love for classic cars, nostalgia and summertime street fairs? If so, come to Sedro- Woolley’s Blast from the Past Festival on June 6-8 to celebrate the iconic year of 1975. This event brings the community together with local food vendors, refreshing drinks, live music and lots of vintage vibes. Don’t miss the exciting sidewalk sale, a bubble run, corn hole tournament and the classic car show.
Berry Dairy Days
A beloved local tradition, Berry Dairy Days has been a consistent part of the community for the past 88 years! The festival continues to celebrate Burlington’s history, agriculture, farming, traditions and community.
The very first festival in 1937 consisted of a giant Strawberry Shortcake that was pulled through town– while this year’s won’t have shortcake of that scale, it will have tons of exciting activities, including berry farm tours, live entertainment, kid and teen zones, road runs, a smoke & Grill BBQ Competition and (regular- sized) strawberry shortcake booths. Be sure to make the Grand Parade on Fairhaven Ave on Saturday! The festival runs June 20-22 and is an iconic Skagit summertime event.
Loggerodeo
The Sedro- Woolley Loggerodeo is the longest running Fourth of July celebration in Washington state and hosts numerous activities from June 29th- July 5th! Two of its biggest events are the Chainsaw Carving Competition and the Logging Exposition. For those wanting to catch some rodeo events, the Loggerodeo works with the PCRA Rodeo, who will be having their own events going on at the same time on the PCRA Rodeo Grounds on 3rd and 4th of July! Skagit Valley Highland Games
Organized by the Celtic Arts Foundation, the Highland Games celebrate Scottish culture and traditions. This year is the 29th Annual Skagit Valley Highland Games and will take place on July 12 and 13 at the Skagit County Fairgrounds. There will be live performers, a piping and drumming competition, dancing, athletics competitions, village games, children’s events and so much more!
Skagit Skies Airshow & Community Aviation Festival
The Port of Skagit is hosting the 2025 Skagit Skies Airshow & Community Aviation Festival on June 28th! The festival will include food trucks, children’s activities, local aircraft performances, a show by the US Army Golden Knights and much more!
Concrete Fly-In
The Concrete Old Fashioned Fly-In is a popular event for vintage, classic, and antique airplane enthusiasts and their families and friends. Founded in 1982, this annual event takes place among some of the most outstanding scenery in the Pacific Northwest. The Mears Field Airport is nestled in the foothills of the North Cascade mountain range in Washington state.
Attendees will not only get to enjoy the activities at the airport (food, live music, and more), but you’ll also be treated to sightseeing around the local area and visits to our historic Town Center. Free, guided tours will depart by bus from the Pilots Lounge throughout the event.
Pride Month
Pride parades in Skagit County are celebrations of love, identity, and community, bringing together LGBTQ+ individuals and allies from across the region. Not only are there parades happening throughout Skagit but also events, shows and art walks that you can attend!
Anacortes Pride
On June 21, The Anacortes Pride Parade will be taking place downtown at 11 a.m. followed by a celebration at Causland Park until 3 p.m. There will also be a celebratory happy hour taking place at Sugar Mama Café!
La Conner Thrives
La Conner Thrives Association has organized events and celebrations throughout the whole month of June! There will be a Drag Show on June 14, a Queer Art Walk on June 21, a Queer & Company Cruise on the 27 and The La Conner Boat Parade and La Conner Pride Prom on the 28. Fourth of July
Each community in Skagit County has their own traditions for the Fourth of July. Whether you’re looking for a waterfront concert or a Firework show, Skagit has just the show for you!
Anacortes Rock the Dock
For the music lovers and free- event- lovers! This concert is hosted by the Port of Anacortes and will feature performances by The Naughty Blokes and Sway. There will be local food and drinks as well as a fireworks display!
Burlington Fireworks Show

Concrete Fourth of July
Perfect for a classic Fourth of July summer celebration, Concrete will celebrate by bringing a casual and laid- back parade and party. It’s perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to watch hundreds of parade entries but still wants to enjoy the fun of a local, community- focused event. There will be music at Silo Park, a playground, skate park, a new bike park and free refreshments!
La Conner Fourth of July Hometown Celebration
Music, food, beverages, and a firework display… what more could you want? Stop by the La Conner Marina for the La Conner Fourth of July line up to enjoy good ol’ fashioned Pacific Northwest vibes.
Mount Vernon Fabulous Fourth of July
The Mount Vernon Fabulous Fourth is another classic Fourth of July show! The firework show will start at dark at Edgewater Park— the perfect place to spread out, lay a blanket down on the grass and view a sparkling show.
Sedro Woolley Loggerodeo Fireworks Show
Now, the Loggerodeo is for the people who are looking for a big parade, and a thrilling rodeo to accompany it! Join the fun for their annual Fireworks show, but there’s events running from June 29- July 5! Click here to see the full 2025 Loggerodeo schedule.
Concerts
Skagit has a lot to bring to the table not only for its natural beauty, but for its music scene as well. Sway to the sounds of Skagit at these summer concerts!
Riverwalk Summer Concert Series
Get ready to dance or just sit back and enjoy the music at the Riverwalk Summer concert series, hosted by the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. There will be concerts every Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in July and August, starting July 10 and will feature a mix of local and regional artists. Anacortes Free Summer Concert Series
This concert series takes place at Seafarer’s Memorial Park on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout July and on Fridays in August. The lineup includes an array of fantastic Pacific Northwest bands. Bring your lawn chair, soak up the waterfront views, and experience the best of regional music in a vibrant community setting.

Berry Dairy Days 5k + 10k Race

Copa de Skagit
The Copa de Skagit is the ultimate soccer showdown, bringing players of all ages from across the Northwest to compete. This is an inaugural event hosted by the Skagit Premier Football Club and will be a tournament of non- stop excitement and competition.
Rally in the Valley Junior Tournament
Get ready for a smash hit event at the Rally in the Valley Junior Tournament, happening from June 20-22, 2025, at 2405 E College Way, Mt Vernon, WA! This high school tennis tournament is the ultimate showdown where emerging talents and future stars collide on the courts. Skagit Firecracker
Another exciting soccer tournament, the 30th annual Skagit Firecracker presented by Northwest United will take place at Skagit River Park from June 27 to 29. With over 25 picturesque grass fields and select- level competition, this event promises high-energy play in a stunning Pacific Northwest setting.
