Skagit Valley Selected as 2025 Recipient of State Tourism Development Program Community Workshops Begin October 1
SKAGIT VALLEY, WA – The Skagit Tourism Bureau has been selected as the only organization statewide for the State of Washington Tourism’s Rural Tourism Support (RTS) program in 2025, bringing professional tourism consulting and grant funding opportunities to the community at no local cost.
Now in its fifth cycle, the RTS program incorporates a community-based approach to tourism development within regional destinations. The competitive selection provides Skagit Valley with expert guidance to develop sustainable tourism strategies that will increase visitor spending while preserving the region’s natural and cultural character.
