Whales Sighted on Over 98% of Tours in 2023

Looking for ADVENTURE? Craving EXCITEMENT?  Join Blue Kingdom Whale Wildlife Tours for the most action–packed whale watching tour the Pacific Northwest offers!  Together, aboard a Zodiac-style vessel, you will search for whales, porpoises, sea lions, eagles, and more, surrounded by breathtaking views of the San Juan Islands and beyond.

Local photographer Sarah Walls of Cedarbrook Studio recently went on a tour.  Tyler was the captain, and Laura was the naturalist on board.  They started at Skyline Marina on a beautiful blue sky day in October and made their way out of the marina, and headed out on the Salish Sea toward the south end of Lopez Island.

They observed Steller Sealions, Cormorants, an Eagle, various shore birds, Harbor Seals, and a pod of whales.

And enjoyed views of the Burrows Island Lighthouse, Mt Baker, the Olympic Mountains, and passing marine vessels.  “My favorite part of the tour was seeing the pod of whales at a lower angle than the big boats, and seeing some folks camping on one of the islands, watching the whales from the shore,” says Sarah.
