The Skagit Food Trail is the newest Skagit Valley experience! The Skagit Food Trail is a self-guided journey through local gardens, family-owned farms, markets, bakeries, eateries, artisanal producers, farm stays, and experiences of the magical Skagit River Valley & Salish Sea.
Nestled between the Cascade Mountains and the Salish Sea, cared for by the Swinomish people for generations, Skagit Valley is a meeting place of abundance. Unlike anywhere else on earth, all five salmon species swim up the Skagit River and feed the farms with rich nutrients. These fields produce grains, flowers, vegetables, and fruit, while shellfish is harvested at low tide.
We curated these trails with so many experiences in one place to help you explore what Skagit Valley has to offer. We hope you learn, indulge, and explore every depth of your curiosities along the way. Whether dancing through flower fields, tasting oysters by the sea, or attending snow geese ballets, the adventure is up to you!
The Skagit Food Trail has three themes: Grains for Change, Tidal Tastings and Flowers & Farms. Explore each trail category to plan your trek!
Share your Skagit Food Trail treks by tagging @visitskagit and @skagitfoodtrail or use the hashtags: #skagitfoodtrail #magicskagit. We can’t wait to see the magic along the way!
