Amtrak service connects Seattle, Everett, Mount Vernon, Bellingham, and Vancouver, B.C. Two northbound trains depart Seattle: 7:40 am (arrives in Mount Vernon at approximately 9:13 am) and 6:40 pm (arrives in Mount Vernon at approximately 8:23 pm).

Northbound trains from Mount Vernon to Bellingham depart at 9:13 am (arriving in Bellingham at approximately 9:44 am) and 8:23 pm (arriving in Bellingham at approximately 9:05 pm). Two southbound trains depart Mount Vernon: 9:04 am (arrives in Seattle at approximately 10:55 am) and 8:12 pm (arrives in Seattle at approximately 10:05 pm).

Ferries & Boats:


The Washington State Ferry departs from Anacortes and takes passengers to San Juan Islands and Sidney, B.C. Call (888) 808-7977 within Washington or (206) 464-6400 outside Washington for more information or to make reservations for the International run to Sidney, B.C.

La Conner ~ Boats can enter the Swinomish Channel from the south (Skagit Bay) or the north (Padilla Bay). Docks are provided by the Town of La Conner and the Port of Skagit County – La Conner Marina.

Anacortes ~ Cap Sante Boat Haven: The Port of Anacortes marina is a customs port-of-entry located in the heart of downtown Anacortes. Permanent and transient moorage is available, with 150-200 berths used for guest moorage.

Skagit Transit (SKAT) has more than 13 routes that link Bellingham (Bellingham Connector) and Everett (Everett Express). Fares are currently 75 cents a ride. Info: (360) 757-4433.

Most types and styles of vehicles are available in the Skagit Valley region, from economy cars to 15-passenger vans. It is 80 miles from La Conner to SeaTac Airport and 40 miles to the Bellingham International Airport.
