Re-Imagined Anacortes Inn Reopens with Exciting Enhancements

Anacortes Inn, a 44-room property nestled on picturesque Fidalgo Island, has reopened to the public after completing a three-month remodeling project, with design and construction by WestCorp Construction and managed by Columbia Hospitality. The reimagined property includes one-of-a-kind guest rooms inspired by the local region as well as an open-air courtyard and lounging space that is perfect for sharing stories of travels or catching up on work.

“At Anacortes Inn, we are dedicated to showcasing the best the area has to offer while providing the most comfortable and convenient place to stay,” said General Manager William Burdick. “With our new enhancements, our property is the ideal launchpad for travelers in and around the area. We are thrilled to welcome everyone back and provide even more opportunities to elevate our guests’ stay in Anacortes.”

The updated property includes guest rooms designed with the Pacific Northwest adventurer in mind, giving the feel of a true island experience. Filled with custom design elements such as wood milled from Orcas Island and works by regional artists, both the double queen and single king rooms reflect the creative vibe of the islands. In addition, to suit the needs of any traveler, all rooms now also have complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen HDTVs, upgraded beds and mattresses, and updated bathrooms.

The new outdoor communal porch, The Hangout, features a central fireplace and is designed to be a social gathering space where like-minded travelers can converse, read books or catch up on emails.

“Anacortes Inn has been welcoming guests for over 50 years, and we believe the enhancements to the property, such as The Hangout, fulfill a community need,” said Evan Westcott, president of WestCorp Construction and owner of Anacortes Inn. “Since the area serves as the gateway to the San Juan Islands and as a hub for the Washington State Ferries system, it’s crucial to offer an inviting space where travelers can catch a good night’s sleep and socialize with fellow guests.”

Anacortes Inn was built in the early 1970s, and this is the first property enhancement since 2009. The inn, which is managed by Columbia Hospitality, is located near the charming downtown corridor and is an ideal base camp for Fidalgo Island vacations and visitors passing through the area.
