Get ready for an exciting two-weekend competition at the 2026 Youth Championship Scholarship Tournament, hosted at Riverside Lanes! Open to all USBC youth bowlers, this event gives young athletes the opportunity to compete, have fun, and earn scholarship awards through top-tier tournament play.
Event Overview
This championship features three competitive divisions:
Handicap Doubles
Handicap Singles
Scratch Singles
All age groups compete together within each division, creating a high-energy environment for bowlers of all skill levels.
Eligibility
All USBC youth members are invited to participate. Youth bowlers who are not yet USBC members may join onsite for a $4 membership fee.
Averages & Handicaps
Bowlers averaging over 210 must compete in Scratch Singles.
Sport and challenge averages will be converted to standard averages for handicap purposes.
For bowlers with multiple averages, the highest verifiable average (per USBC rules) will be used.
Bowlers without a verified average will bowl scratch singles and enter doubles with a 220 average.
Handicap is based on 100% of 220 (singles) and 100% of 440 (doubles).
Participation Rules
Doubles: Bowlers may compete twice with the same partner (awards received once). They may earn additional awards when paired with different partners.
Singles: Bowl as many times as desired; awards are limited to one per bowler.
Scholarship Awards
At least 1 in 4 entries will earn scholarship awards. All award fees are returned 100% to participants as scholarship SMART funds. In the event of a tie, co-champions will be recognized.
Dress Code
Respectful and appropriate attire is required.
No hats or clothing with offensive, alcohol, or tobacco-related content.
Electronic devices must remain off while competing.
