Skagit Wood Expo and Marketplace
About
The Skagit Wood Expo & Marketplace is a one-of-a-kind gathering with live woodworking, sawmilling and wood carving demonstrations, a unique artisan marketplace with 75+ vendors (wood products and slabs, handcrafted goods, food products, and more), a live wood auction, circus show, and fun for the whole family. Visitors can watch raw wood transform into works of art while learning about woodturning, chainsaw sculpture carving, milling, and even duck decoy carving from the region’s amazing talent. Other fun happenings throughout the weekend include the event’s annual Circus Show (Sat 3pm), Kids’ Egg Hunt (Sun 9-11am), Bingo with prizes (Sat 12-2pm), Line Dancing (Sat 2pm), and more. All activities are free with admission. Visit the event website for the full schedule: https://www.skagitwoodexpo.com The event is held in partnership with Hospice of the Northwest Foundation, which receives part of the event proceeds to help fund care for the communities they serve. The Skagit Wood Expo is a great compliment to a Skagit Valley visit during the April tulip season. This mostly indoors festival gives visitors a chance to interact with another essential element of the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty: its amazing wood resources and craftsmanship.
