We started our Skagit Valley weekend with a glamping experience at the Willowbrook Manor. Willowbrook Manor sits amid beautiful Skagit Valley farmland, four miles east of Sedro-Woolley, Washington in the beautiful North Cascades foothills. The Estate features two acres of chamomile, expansive lawns and meandering paths that lead to quaint gardens, the cottage greenhouse, and a peaceful reflecting pool.
Our Tea and Tour combined the aura of English Tea with a charming bicycle tour through farmlands along the scenic Skagit River and into the historic town of Sedro-Woolley. The bikes were comfortable and the terrain was easy riding. Along each of the bike routes were Tea and Tour Posts where will found bits of history and farm facts.
We then drove through Burlington, Mount Vernon and the beautiful farmlands of Skagit Valley to the coastal communities of La Conner and Anacortes. We spent an afternoon at Deception Pass State Park’s Bowman Bay where we went on a guided kayak tour and rented stand-up paddleboards to explore the bay.
Our 1.5-hour Deception Pass kayaking tour is called the “Quickie“. The Quickie was a great way to see Washington’s marine wildlife and beauty. There are miles of trails, beautiful beaches, and abundant wildlife at Deception Pass. Seals, eagles, porpoise and fascinating intertidal creatures are commonly seen!
We are already planning our next Skagit Valley weekend which will include waking up in the North Cascades and spending sunset on the Salish Sea!
