Plan your Skagit Valley holiday getaway 2014 with a visit to La Conner and the Skagit Valley. You will love the holidays in Skagit Valley! Our award winning “tiny town” La Conner has time and again been voted best tiny town in Washington.
Let La Conner take you back to a time without stop lights and traffic, without crowds and busy parking lots. Our tiny little town becomes a pretty magical place during the holidays with the street lamps lit up, the lighted boats on the channel, and the beautiful tree at the center of our tiny town.
La Conner always has a wide variety of holiday options for you. From shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts, to a great lunch or dinner and cocoa nightcap, to a romantic weekend, you’ll find La Conner a perfect place to relax during the holidays. Be sure to check out all of the Skagit Valley Shopping options and extend your stay!
La Conner’s Season of Giving is where participating businesses (over 40!) donate 10% of their sales on each designated Sunday to a specific charity. Each year the number of businesses participating has grown, which is a heartwarming reflection of how generous and community-minded La Conner merchants are.
As December arrives, we invite you to all the holiday events in La Conner – it’s fun for the whole family! Bring your kids, bring your grand kids, and be sure to bring your camera. You’ll find breakfast and photos with Santa, our annual community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, an annual craft bazaar and other options including concerts, museum exhibits and family fun at the regional library. Check out the Skagit Valley Events Calendar, for all holiday events around the valley.
Not to be missed is the annual lighted boat parade; the Swinomish Channel is aglow with gorgeously reflected colors of the many decorated boats – there are viewing points all along the channel either outside on the boardwalk, or inside many of our restaurants.
