Canoeing and Kayaking

Canoe/Kayak

kayakSkagit Valley is home to a portion of the Cascadian Marine Trail. This water trail on Puget Sound is a National Recreation Trail and designated one of only 16 National Millennium Trails by the White House. Suitable for day or multi-day trips, the Cascadia Marine Trail has over 50 campsites to visit. You can boat to the campsites from many public and private launch sites or shoreline trailheads.

Ross Lake in the North Cascades National Park is a beautiful lake for kayaking and canoeing. Two graded-cement boat ramps at Hozomeen (Ross Lake) are normally usable from mid-June through September. Canoes, kayaks and small craft can be launched at Colonial Creek Campground and boated five miles to the end of Diablo Lake.
