harvest_festival_2014The City of Burlington is pleased to present the 11th annual Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Pitch at Skagit River Park on Saturday, September 27th from 10am to 3pm. Admission and parking are free.  The Festival entrance is located at 1100 S. Skagit Street.

There are fun-filled activities that every member of the family will enjoy.  Highlights from the Kids Zone include a giant pumpkin inflatable, Fred Meyer Pumpkin Patch, SeaHawkers Football Toss and fun interactive games and booths.

Additional special activities include the Pumpkin Pitch competition, Costco Pie Eating Contest, Touch a Truck, Langs Wagon rides and Zucchini Car Races.  From 10am – 12pm the medieval trebuchets are available for public viewing in the pit.  The official Pumpkin Pitch will begin at 12:15pm and teams will compete for accuracy and distance.  An award ceremony will follow the final pumpkin toss.  Pie Eating Contest times are 1pm for kids age 5-10, 1:30pm for youth age 11-17 and 2pm for adults age 18 and over.  A variety of food and beverage vendors will be on hand where you can purchase your favorite festival fare.
